I am new to this place,
Woke up with my face in the sand,
I got a notion of beauty last night,
That only my hands remember,
And it left stones in pants,
And grit in my teeth,
I got an assumption of sleep that will never come,
Slumber never meets me.
My limbs are loose,
My mind unfocused,
Undistinguished bruises,
I barely notice,

As to who this was.

Seagulls swing on the wind without care,
Stealing their breakfasts,
There as unaware as I of the rules we break,

This freedom of being is a gold in abundance.
